Malayalam and 9 more Languages Added to Google Translate Google Added 10 more languages to Translate, bringing total number of supported languages to 90. These 10 new languages will allow more than 200 million additional people to translate text to and from their native languages. Inbox : A new Email App From Google         Google has just launched an app called Inbox that allows you to make email more useful and preview next-gen capabilities.        The overwhelming problem with Gmail is that there's too much email to wade through and it's become a chore and productivity killer, the new app makes you to get your messages faster rather than sorting through a bunch of emails.      Google Inbox is available as an app for the Web, Apple's iOS and Google's own Android operating system. For now, using Inbox is an invitation-only option; Gmail users can request access by sending an email to inbox@google.com .

Facebook Stickers : In Comments

Facebook Stickers Are Now Available In Comments          Facebook is now allowing you to to add stickers (a popular messaging feature) to comments on personal posts, as well as posts in groups and events.Previously available as a feature inside Facebook Messenger, now users can add stickers within comments to regular Facebook posts.This works on both desktop and mobile.To access the stickers, users tap the smiley face icon in the bottom-right of any comment field on Facebook in order to pick the sticker they want to share with the others on the thread.

Microsoft Windows 10 : Announced         Microsoft announced its 'Windows 10' operating system on 30 september 2014 to replace the previous version Windows 8, skipping Windows 9 to mark a leap toward unifying the way people work on tablets, phones and traditional computers.    Windows 10 will be "our greatest enterprise platform ever," said Terry Myerson, Microsoft's head of operating systems, at an event in San Francisco. Only 20 percent of organizations migrated to the previous version Windows 8, which was released two years ago, according to tech research .

And facebook's news feed algorithm is designed to show you the most relevant posts, you don't always have time to read everything.          Facebook launched a new feature called Save, which lets you do just that: save links to articles, places to visit, movies and television shows to see, and music to check out later.        As mentioned in Facebook’s “Newsroom” blog post: one can view the items they saved at any time by going to their saved items in the “More Tab” on mobile or by clicking the link on the left hand side of Facebook on the web.One’s saved items list is organised by category and the users can swipe right on each item to share it with their friends or move it into their archive list.One can even set a reminder for their saved posts so as to remind oneself.

The new Facebook Messenger version 5.0 for Windows Phone brings the instant photo sharing feature which makes it easy for a user to send a clicked image with just one tap in the app (just like on Android and iOS), so you don’t have to leave the app to take a photo with a separate camera app. In addition, a revamped photo gallery allows users to quickly access the photos on your phone. The new update also allows users to create groups in the app, for creating, managing, and talking to, multiple people at once. You can also pin these groups to your phone’s Start screen for quick access.

Facebook Introduces ‘Hack’, the Programming Language of the Future           Hack is a programming language that Facebook developed to combine elements of static-type programming languages such as C with dynamic-type languages like PHP. When you code in a static programming language it will let you know when you have an error before the program runs, but in the more modern, dynamic type language you code until the program crashes. Facebook is a PHP house, but Bryan O’Sullivan, manager of the Hack team, said that with many developers working on a variety of projects, the benefits of being able to catch errors before running the program began to make sense. Nokia Announces its First Android Phones

Nokia Announces its First Android Phones X,X+ and XL             The Nokia has finally unveiled its much talked of Android phone, the Nokia X, at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2014.Nokia has launched a family Android phones with three variants--Nokia X, X+ and XL--at affordable prices. All three Nokia X variants are going to be low-cost phones with the Nokia XL expected to be priced around Rs. 9,000.           Specs-wise, these are basic level phones. All three devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual Core processor and are dual SIM. The Nokia X comes with 4-inch display, the X+ has a bit of more storage options and the XL variant comes with 5-inch LCD screen and and 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras.        The Nokia X phones do not come with pre-installed Google Play Services. Facebook Acquires WhatsApp for $19 Billion         Social media giant Facebook will acquire mobile messaging company WhatsApp for 19 billion dollars in a cash and stock deal, the largest acquisition by the Mark Zuckerberg-led firm so far that will give it a stronghold in the market for messaging.         The whopping acquisition price includes USD 4 billion in cash, about USD 12 billion worth of Facebook shares and USD 3 billion in restricted stock units to be granted to WhatsApp’s founders and employees that will vest over four years following the closing of the deal. Under the agreement, WhatsApp co-founder and CEO Jan Koum will join Facebook Board of Directors. Facebook said the acquisition will not impact the WhatsApp’s brand, which will be maintained and the company’s headquarters will remain in California’s Mountain View.WhatsApp’s core messaging product and Facebook’s existing messenger app will continue to operate as standalone applications.

Internet Download Speed Hits 1,83,501Mbps in Test             Scientists in the UK have achieved the "fastest ever" broadband speeds of 1.4 terabits per second . The joint test by British Telecom (BT) and French networking equipment company Alcatel-Lucent achieved the high speeds of 1.4 terabits per second, or 1,83,501Mbps, on the existing fibre network in London.         The breakthrough is being seen as highly important for internet service providers (ISPs), as it means a greater amount of information can be sent through existing broadband infrastructure, reducing the need for costly upgrades. There are faster methods of transmitting data - such as the use of complex laser technology - but this is the first test to achieve such high speeds in "real world" conditions, outside testing labs, 'BBC News' reported.         The test was conducted in October and November last year, on a line from BT Tower in central London and the company's resear

Facebook Acquires Bangalore-based Startup Little Eye Labs             Facebook has acquired Bangalore-based startup Little Eye Labs making it the social networking giant's first acquisition in India. Little Eye is a tool that helps Android app developers to measure, analyze and optimize their apps.              It helps visualize the app's behaviour and estimates the app's power, memory and network data consumption trends. The entire LittleEye Labs team will move to Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, California, where they would leverage the social networking giant's infrastructure to improve the performance of their apps.
